Vigor shipyards started testing their latest ferry, the Kennewick, out of Everett, WASH. today, in preparation to deliver  the 64-car vessel to Washington State Ferries. THe first two sea trials are set for Oct. 6-7 with the vessel leaving and returning to the Everett Shipyard. Vigor will test the new ferry's operational systems in preparation of demonstrating the vessel to WSF and the U.S. Coast Guard the following week. WSF is scheduled to accept delivery of the new ferry from Vigor late this month.<br />

WSF plans on putting the Kennewick into service in January, 2011.<br />
