4/13/2002--Rangoon, Burma..At the Lay Phyu and Iron Cross concert a fan holds up a guitar as he passes the stage. During the New Year's concerts, water is sprayed on concer goers as a traditional blessing. Cars weave through the crowds carrying rock fans from stage to stage scattered around Rangoon...The annual outdoor free concerts are held every April duirng Burma's traditional New Year celebrations. Normally gatherings of young men woiuld be broken up by Burma's ruling junta but the concerts are the one time of year such large gatherings are allowed.
