10/11/2007--Newport, OR, USA..Oregon State University researchers Adam Brown (right) and Al Schacher(left) work to prepare the wave energy buoy the team will be deploying off the coast of Oregon in the Pacific Ocean...After waiting out a week of stormy seas, Oregon State University researchers launched the first test run of their wave energy buoy Saturday, October 12th. The buoy is the fifth prototype Oregon State University engineering professor Annette von Jouanne's team has built, and the first tested by OSU in open seas.
