2/13/2013--Bellevue, WA, USA..Hong Kong-born Conrad Lee, a member of Bellevue's city council since 1994 and its mayor since early last year, posing by a lion statue on the city hall's grounds. Conrad Lee was an early adopter of the immigrant suburban ethos. He came to the States from Hong Kong in 1958, one in the mid-century ?forgotten wave? of Chinese immigrants, moved to Seattle in 1962, and became an engineer at Boeing.
