Aaron Ginn, 25, is one of the three founders of Lincoln Labs along with Chris Abrams, 26 and Garret Johnson, 29 . Lincoln Labs uses such hackathons to reach out to potential Republicans and conservatives hoping to expand the party's base within the tech industry.
Lincoln Lab's 'Seattle Hackathon', sponsored by Microsoft, and held in Building 92 on Microsoft's corporate headquarters in Redmond, Washington near Seattle. The theme for the hackathon was "Open government" with a $5000 prize to the best program built to "to address critical challenges facing American governance and promote open government."
