9/24/2000--Tokyo, Japan..Iwao Keiichi founded Way Station in 1993 to help middle-aged managers in career limbo due to Japan's stagnant economy move on. But business quadrupled in the past year as stagnation turned into recession, and companies scrambled to offload excess staff. "If a company fires employees offhand, it becomes a social issue," Iwao says.
