6/23/2008--North Bend, WA, USA..Gerard Maloney (left) of Earthheat working on installing a system in a new home in North Bend, WA, about 30 minutes East of Seattle, while electrician Kyle Adams ehlps (right). Earthheat has been installing ground-source heat pumps for nearly 10 years; sometimes called geothermal heat pumps, they are heating and cooling systems that can save building owners between 25-65% on their energy costs, with commensurate reductions in carbon dioxide emissions...Here Maloney is working on the water to water ground source heat pump. Behind is the storage buffer tank and in the back left are ducts leading up from chilled water air handler that provides cooling to the house...©2008 Stuart Isett. All rights reserved.
