10/10/2008--Seattle, WA, USA..Volunteer Park in Seattle, WA. This is the sculpture that inspired Soundgarden's grunge anthem, 'Black Hole Sun'. Most people stop and take a picture of the Space Needle through the hole at the middle of the sculpture, known as the black doughnut. Part of the Olmsted brother's turn of the century vision for the city's parks and public boulevards, Volunteer Park is often overlooked by locals..©2008 Stuart Isett. All rights reserved.
