42 year old Chhuon Chhiv, aka 'Chu', was deported back to Cambodia from his home town of San Diego in 2006 after serving time for marijuana selling. Chhuon returned to the village his family fled in 1979 after the Vietnamese invaded and drove out the Khmer Rouge and his last memories of Cambodia were working the same fields for the Khmer Rouge when he was a young boy. He now lives with his 50 old sister who stayed in Cambodia after 1979, and he works as a rice farmer, making roughly $2 a day working in the fields with other villagers.
