1/18/2007--Seattle, WA, USA..Hugh Crean, president and CEO of Farecast, posing at Seattle's Seatac Airport. Consumers shopping for airline tickets have to roll the dice and hope that fares don't drop after they've booked the flight. Now an online start-up that predicts fares, FareCast, will begin selling cheap insurance that guarantees the fare you book will not go drop for a week. If it does, the company pays the difference. Analysts said such a service, which has not existed before now, could help reinvigorate online bookings....Photograph ©2007 Stuart Isett. All rights reserved
