12/27/2012--Seattle, WA, USA..The Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) will open Dec. 29th, 2012 in the former Naval Reserve Training Center in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood. Here, a collection of artifacts from Seattle's grunge music era...Exhibits include Boeing B-1 seaplane (Boeing's first plane) the Rainier Brewing Company's old red "R" sign, the Lincoln "Toe Truck" and Slo-Mo-Shun IV Hydroplane. MOHAI has around 4 million objects in the collection, including around 100,000 artifacts, and 1.5 million photographs, and extensive archives. Collections focus on Seattle's early settlement (ca. 1850) through present-day, and concentrate on the stories and achievements of Seattle's residents...©2012 Stuart Isett. All rights reserved.
